Westport Launches YOUR DOWNTOWN Campaign
First Selectman Jim Marpe has announced the formation of YOUR DOWNTOWN, a public call to action to involve residents in the downtown planning process. The first steps in the campaign, a new interactive website, www.downtownwestportct.com, and an online Downtown Survey, have been launched to inform and involve Westport citizens in the Downtown Master Plan process.

The “Ceremonies and Celebrations” program in response to requests from school staff for assistance in purchasing new clothing for graduating middle and high school students has begun its eleventh year.

New FEMA Grant Opportunity available for Severe Repetitive Loss and Repetitive Loss Properties
The town has ampounced its intent to apply to FEMA’s Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) program for mitigation of structures in its coastal flood zones. The Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) program provides funds for projects to reduce or eliminate risk of flood damage to buildings that are insured under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

First Selectman Marpe appoints Search Committee for Town Operations Director Position
First Selectman Jim Marpe has appointed a five-person search committee to interview candidates for the position of Town Operations Director. The Operations Director will report directly to the First Selectman and will work with all town departments.
