No Animals at Beaches Effective April 1 through Oct. 1

Fire Departments create Rapid Intervention Team
The Westport and Fairfield Fire Departments have expanded their mutual aid agreements to provide automatic assistance in the form of a Rapid Intervention Team (R.I.T.) at the scene of a structure fire in each town.

Middle School "Cop Shop" scheduled for March 4
Cop Shops are informal, round table discussions between police officers and kids with the intent of building supportive relationships and a better understanding between parties. This month's topic is "Social Media and the Law".

P&R Summer Registration begins March 10

The Westport Assessor’s Office and the Human Services Department are now taking applications for the state and local tax relief programs. The local programs are open to homeowners who are totally disabled or who have reached the age of 65 by the date of application.
