The CTWorks Career Coach at Westport Town Hall on Thursday, July 17. The Coach will offer a beginner’s class in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by an intermediate class from 1 to 3 p.m.

Fire Department reminds residents about dangers of fireworks
Public Safety officials caution the general population against the dangers of fireworks. Each year nationwide, on average, there are 10,000 injuries, three deaths and 25,000 fires due to the use of illegal fireworks.

Dog License Renewal and Rabies Clinic Notice
Dog licenses may be obtained from the Town Clerk's office begining June 1. All dogs over six months must be licensed. Licenses will also be available at the Rabies Vaccination Clinic to be held Saturday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Weston Westport Health District.

Town reduces Mill rate for Fiscal Year 2014-2015
Westport’s Board of Finance has voted unanimously to reduce the mill rate from 18.07 to 17.94 for the coming fiscal year 2014-2015.
