Youth Commission Seeks Student and Adult Volunteers For 2016-17 School Year
The Westport Youth Commission is seeking 9th through 12th grade students and adults to volunteer for the 2016-2017 school year, The Commission serves as a public forum for youth issues and advocates for youth needs and concerns in the community.

Assessor Signs 2015 Grand List
The net 2015 Grand List of $10,876,602,613 represents a total increase of approximately 7.8 percent compared to the net 2014 Grand List of $10,092,436,351. Residential values increased approximately 7.5 percent, while commercial values increased approximately 10 percent.

Career Coach will be in Westport on Thursday, Feb. 11
The Career Coach will be at Westport Town Hall on Thursday, Feb. 11. The Coach will be offering a beginner’s class in Excel 2007 from 10 a.m. – noon, followed by an intermediate class in Excel 2007 from 1 - 3 p.m.

North Avenue Bridge to be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow
The Town of Westport Department of Public Works has been informed by the CT Department of Transportation that the North Avenue Bridge will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 for pothole repair work

Police Remind Residents to Lock Car Doors
The town has experienced multiple stolen vehicles and numerous vehicle break-ins during the month of January. In most cases, the keys were left in the unlocked vehicles.

Westport First Selectman Announces Major Grant Award to Address Flood Resiliency Planning

Town authorizes overnight construction in Parker Harding Plaza
In the interest of public safety, to avoid unnecessary traffic, and to minimize neighborhood disruption, the town has authorized Cablevision to perform overnight (midnight – 8 a.m.) construction work in Parker Harding Plaza from Dec. 9 through Dec. 12.
