Construction will begin at the Lot 1 Saugatuck Rail Road Station on Monday, July 11. Alternate parking locations have been created to alleviate the loss of parking spaces while the construction is being completed. Commuters should allow 5 to 10 additional minutes to their morning commute on Monday to become accustomed to the new parking areas.

ConnDOT's transportation’s resurfacing project for Route 57 in Westport is scheduled to start on June 22. The MILLING will begin the night of June 22 and end the morning of June 24. The PAVING is scheduled to begin the night of Monday, July 11 and end the morning of Wednesday, July 13.

The Westport Police Department advises all residents and motorists that the Greens Farms area will be impacted by the running of the Fairfield Half Marathon on Sunday, June 26.
Runners will enter Westport on Greens Farms Road at the Fairfield town line, continuing to New Creek Road and on to Beachside Avenue before exiting into Southport

The Westport Public Schools will be testing an alarm and voice alert system during the week of June 20 to June 24. When the alarm testing begins an alert will sound for approximately five minutes on both the internal and external horns at the school.

ConnDOT has informed town officials that the North Avenue Bridge will be closed to all traffic commencing June 20. It is anticipated that the bridge will be reopened by August 25 and that the overall construction project will be completed by September 15.
