Westport’s Human Services Director Barbara Butler has declared her intention to retire from that position effective June 30. Ms. Butler has been the Director of the department since 1989. Assistant Human Services Director Sarah Heath will be appointed Director effective July 1.

The application date for the Town and State Credit programs will run through Friday, May 13. The Town Deferral programs for Real Estate deferral will run through Friday, July 29 and Sewer deferral will run through Tuesday, Nov. 15.

The Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service (WVEMS) will present First Selectman Jim Marpe and the Town of Westport with the keys to two new state of the art ambulances for use by the town’s Emergency Medical Service on Thursday, April 28, at 11:30 am, in front of Town Hall.
