Town Will Hold 10th Annual Shred Day on Saturday, May 12
Westport will hold its 10th annual community shred day on Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at 180 Bayberry Lane (Westport/Weston Health District). Residents may shred up to eight paper bags (bags recycle too), or three boxes (12 inches by 18 inches), per household. Each car will be charged $5.

The Westport Police Department will be out in force during April looking for distracted drivers as part of the U Drive. U Text. U Pay. campaign, a high-visibility effort to enforce distracted driving laws.

Myrtle Avenue Water Main Replacement Project Scheduled to Begin on April 2

No Animals Permitted at the Beaches Begins Sunday, April 1
Effective April 1, animals will not be permitted at Compo, Old Mill, and Burying Hill Beaches. Animals in or out of vehicles will not be allowed on any beach property as well as the roads within the beach area. The regulation is in effect until Oct. 1.

CTDOT sets weight limit for Cribari Bridge over the Saugatuck River
Town officials were notified by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) late yesterday that effective today, March 20, 2018, only vehicles weighing less than 40,000 pounds (20 tons) or less will be permitted on the state-owned and maintained William F. Cribari Memorial Bridge over the Saugatuck River.
