Registrars of Voters Announce Office Hours & Deadlines for Registration
Registrars of Voters Marla Cowden and Kevin White announced today that the Registrars of Voters Office in Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Room 107, will be open Monday through Friday (except holidays), from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for voter registration. October 30, 2018 is the deadline for the Mail-in and Online registrations for the November 6, 2018 State Election.

Distracted Driving Event at Staples High School on October 13
The Teen Awareness Group (TAG) in collaboration with the Westport Youth Commission and the Westport Police Department will hold its fifth annual Distracted Driving event at Staples High School on Saturday, October 13 from 11am to 1pm at the Staples High School Football field.

Absentee ballots for the State Election, to be held Nov 6, 2018, are available at the Town Clerk's office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. beginning today, Friday, Oct 5.

The Westport Planning & Zoning Commission will review Text Amendment #752 at the September 27, 2018 Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing. Text Amendment #752, submitted by Mel Barr of Barr Associates, is designed to create opportunities for more Fitness Centers to locate in the Restricted Office Retail District (RORD #3).

Second Quarter Taxes Are Due October 1, 2018
Tax Collector Harry Whiteley reminds residents that second quarter real estate taxes, personal property taxes, and sanitary sewer use and assessment charges are due October 1, 2018. Taxpayers have until November 1, 2018 to pay taxes without penalty.

LiveGirl Returns to Wesport's Toquet Hall with LiveGirlTalk
LiveGirl returns! The 10-week LiveGirl program returns to Westport’s Toquet Hall Teen Center (58 Post Road East). The session will begin on Thursday, October 4 from 3:45pm-5pm and run through Thursday, December 13.

Traffic Advisory for Saturday July 28
The CT Challenge Bike Tour will be taking place tomorrow, Saturday, 7/28. Motorists should expect to see a large volume of bicyclists between 7:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. on the following roads: Long Lots Road, North Avenue, and North Avenue extension. Motorists traveling through these areas should expect delays and possibly brief road closures.

Absentee Ballots Available Now for August 14 Democratic & Republican Primaries
The town announced today that absentee ballots for the August 14, 2018 Democratic and Republican Primaries are now available at the Town Clerk's office in Town Hall during office hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Absentee ballots for these primaries will be available through Monday, August 13.
