Longshore Club Park was opened to townspeople on May 28, 1960, and today comprises a 169-acre recreational facility that includes an 18-hole golf course, marina, three swimming pools, picnic areas and playgrounds, tennis courts and seasonal ice-skating rink, as well as the Longshore Sailing School and The Inn at Longshore.

The Longshore 50th Anniversary Committee has been charged with fulfilling two core objectives.
