The Westport Conservation Commission will conduct a site visit for orientation purposes on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. in preparation for reviewing agenda items at its November 19, 2014 meeting.
1.5 Sea Spray: Application #WPL-9894-14 by Land-Tech Consultants on behalf of Sea Spray Acquisitions, LLC to remove a portion of a shed and construct a 398 s.f. addition on the northern side of the house. Portions of the work are within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
2.14 Promised Road: Application #WPL-9897-14 by Lucien & Maria Vita for the demolition of the existing home and the construction of a new single family residence and associated site improvements. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
3.34 Owenoke Park: Application #WPL-9893-14 by Frangione Engineering, LLC on behalf of 34 Ownenoke Park, LLC for a proposed single family residence, pool, patio, driveway, walkway and associated drainage design. Proposed house will be connected to existing sanitary sewer lateral. Work is within the WPLO area of Gray’s Creek.
4.24-26 Owenoke Park (if necessary): Continued Application - Application #WPL-9859-14 by Barr Associates LLC on behalf of Keith Melnick & Mary Kathryn Melnick for a proposed new residence, pool, patio, cabana & gym on a consolidated lot with a new driveway and drainage. Work is within the WPLO area of Gray’s Creek.
5.10 Pond Edge Rd: Request by Rick Benson to modify Permit #IWW, WPL-9789-14 to include steps to grade off of the deck, a/c units and an in-ground spa within the WPLO and IWW upland review area.
6.1135 Post Road East: IWW,WPL-9895-14 by Redniss & Mead on behalf of 1135 Post Road East, LLC for the proposed razing of the existing structures and constructing two, two-story commercial buildings, surface parking, driveways and walkways in the southern portion of the property. Four residential buildings with underground parking garage will be constructed in the northern portion of the property. Work is within the WPLO area of Muddy Brook.
Members will meet at the Conservation Department first to carpool. Some sites might be especially wet and or be prone to ticks so appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended.
