NOTICE AND AGENDA OF BOARD OF FINANCE MEETING
SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR THIS MEETING:
This meeting will be held in-person IN ROOM 201/201A OF THE WESTPORT town hall. Town Hall access will be through the front of the building. The meeting will also be live streamed on the Town Website westportct.gov (on the website, select “How Do I” Heading, and select “Watch Town Meetings”). Comments to be read during the public comment period may be emailed to BOFcomments@westportct.gov. We will use our best efforts to read public comments aloud if they are received during the public comment period and if they state your full name and address. In-person public comments are also allowed during the public comment period. Meeting materials will be available at westportct.gov along with the meeting notice posted on the Meeting List & Calendar page.
NOTICE OF BOF EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Board of Finance will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 201/201A of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose. It is anticipated that the Board of Finance will vote to go into Executive Session for such discussion:
- Discussion of pending legal claim.
NOTICE OF BOF PUBLIC MEETING
Board of Finance will hold its Public Meeting on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in Room 201/201A of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
AGENDA
- To approve the Board of Finance Minutes of the October 12, 2022 Regular Meeting.
- Financial Report from the Finance Director. (Discussion Only)
- Status Update from the Audit Manager. (Discussion Only)
- To review and approve a Board of Education request for $216,056.00 from the Westport’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, to enhance social needs of students at all five Elementary Schools.
- Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $482,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500371-10132 for an Engineer Assessment, Design Consultant, Project and Construction Managers for the feasibility study for the Long Lots Elementary School Project.
- Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $385,000.00 to the Capital and Non-Recurring Account #31503310-500369-10131 for the replacement of the existing sidewalks leading to Greens Farms School along Morning Side Drive South, Hillandale Road and Center Street. A STEAP Grant was awarded to the Town in the amount of $250,000.00.
- Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $350,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500328-10108 for the maintenance and replacement of sidewalks in the existing network program. This project is for sidewalks leading to Bedford Middle School, Coleytown Middle School, and sections along Riverside Avenue.
- Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $550,000.00 along with bond and note authorization to the Sewer Reserve Fund Account 32003330-500370 for the purchase of a Freightliner 114SD Van-con Jet Truck to be assigned to the Sewage Collection System Division.
