ALL PROPERTIES:

• Dogs are allowed off leash on Town property where dogs are allowed.
• Owners or handlers must pick up their dog's feces and properly dispose of it.
• Horses are prohibited unless permission is granted in writing by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Winslow Park

Winslow Park located on the Post Road East and Compo Road North, welcomes dogs in the designated areas:

North end of Winslow Park:

• Dogs are allowed off leash at the North end of Winslow Park.

South End of Winslow Park:

• No dogs at Winslow Park at the south end of the park (between Post Road East and the path West of the parking lot, and between Powers Court and Compo Road North.)

Beaches: Compo/Burying Hill/Old Mill

• From April 1 to Sept. 30 animals are prohibited at the beaches either in or out of vehicles except when going to and from boats at Ned Dimes Marina. Beaches are defined to include the water adjacent to the property, the sand areas adjacent to the water, the parking areas, grass areas, playing areas and roads. Dogs are permitted in vehicles entering into the Soundview parking lot Monday thru Friday at anytime, weekends and holidays prior to 9 a.m. and after 5 p. m. Dogs must be on leash.
• Persons with dog(s) at Ned Dimes Marina (Compo Beach) and E.R. Strait Marina must have dogs on a leash.

Oct. 1 to March 31 - Compo Beach    

       Off-Leash

• Dogs are permitted off leash in the area of the beach south of the brick bathhouses delineated  by a rail fence and signs and including the south beach area. 
• Owners or handlers must accompany their dogs at all times within the off-leash area
• Owners or handlers must have a leash or lead at all times within the off-leash area.

Leash required 

Dogs, where permitted, must be kept on leash or lead under the control of the owner or handler.  On leash areas include all parking lots, roadways and grass areas.

No dogs permitted

Animals are not permitted in the covered pavilion area of Compo Beach, on the boardwalks or in the area between the boardwalks and the exit road (including playground and volleyball courts) at any time.

Athletic Fields:

• Animals are not allowed inside the fenced-in areas at the town's Little League fields at Coleytown Elementary School and Town Farms. Dogs are not permitted on artificial turf fields at Wakeman Park, Staples and Doubleday.

Longshore Club Park

• Dogs, where permitted, must be kept on leash or lead under the control of the owner or handler at all times.
• Dogs are prohibited from the golf course at all times.

Baron's South

• No dogs are allowed at any time.

Sherwood Mill Pond Preserve

• No dogs are allowed at any time.
