Handpasses - A Parks and Recreation handpass is a photo identification card for Westport residents, ages 6 and up. It is required for access to the Longshore and Staples pools, reduced fees at Longshore Golf Course and town's tennis courts.
Parking Emblems - A vehicle parking emblem is required for entrance into town beaches and to park in other areas designated by the Westport Parks and Recreation Department.
Boat Launch Permits - A boat launch permit is required for car-top type vessels to enter Compo Beach, Sherwood Mill Pond Preserve and E.R. Strait Marina.
Boat Ramp Permit - A boat ramp permit is required for a trailered boat using launch ramps at Compo Beach.
Summer Residents and Non-Resident Real Estate Taxpayer
A summer resident is determined by a lease of at least 30 days but not more than 1 year and is eligible for all Parks and Recreation privileges at resident rates upon payment of the entitling fee of $485.
A non-resident real estate taxpayer is determined by owning commercial property in the town of Westport and verified on the Westport tax rolls. The non-resident real estate taxpayer would be eligible for all Parks and Recreation privileges at resident rates upon payment of the entitling fee of $485.
