There are two marinas maintained by the Westport Parks and Recreation Department:
- Ned Dimes Marina - Compo Beach
- E.R. Strait Marina - Longshore Club Park
Any resident of the Town of Westport, who meets the requirements for a Westport vehicle parking emblem and passes, shall be entitled to apply for a boating assignment or ramp permit at either marina, if the following conditions are met at the time the boating assignment is granted.
- The boat must be properly registered with the State of Connecticut.
- Proof of the applicant's Connecticut boating registration must accompany their annual renewal form.
Ned Dimes Marina
Located within Compo Beach, this marina offers in-water slips as well as drystalls for trailered boats, dinghies, Hobie Cats, sunfish, kayaks, and windsurfers. Marina has restroom facilities, boat launch ramp and parking available.
- The period of berthing shall be from April 1 to Nov. 30 with no services during April and Nov.
- All vehicles entering Compo Beach to use the marina facilities MUST have a valid vehicle parking emblem. Boaters will not be allowed in the Beach/Marina area without an emblem and must pay the prevailing daily fee.
The Marina clubhouse is also available for rental for gatherings of 50 people or less. There is a fee and application process to reserve a date. Click here for a facility request form

- April 1 to April 30: No Services
- May 1 to Labor Day: 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday - Sunday & Holidays
- Day after Labor Day to Oct. 31: 8 a.m. to sunset
- Nov. 1 to Nov. 30: No Services
E.R. Strait Marina
E.R.Strait Marina located within Longshore Club Park offers in-water slips as well as a limited dinghy storage. In addition, Connecticut Marine Services is a licensed vendor operating a launch service to boats moored in the mouth of the Saugatuck River. Marina has restroom facilities and boat launch ramp.
