Burying Hill Road and Beachside Avenue
Burying Hill Beach is a 2.39 acre park with sand and rock beach along the shore of Long Island Sound. It has a restroom and changing area facilities, picnic tables, grills and is adjacent to a wildlife area along the canal that borders the park.
The park is open from Memorial Weekend through Labor Day from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Motor vehicles and motorcycles may enter the beach with a valid Parks and Recreation vehicle parking emblem .
Town of Westport Beach emblems are required through Labor Day.
Parking Fees for vehicles without beach emblems:
Weekdays - Per Day (North Lot)
Connecticut Registered Vehicle - $25.00*
Out-of-State Registered Vehicle - $35.00*
Weekends/Holidays - Per Day (North Lot)
Connecticut Registered Vehicle - $30.00*
Out-of-State Registered Vehicle - $50.00*
*Prices include CT State Sales Tax
- No dogs allowed April 1 – Sept. 30 (Animals are prohibited, either in or out of vehicles, on all Town owned property south of the entrance on Beachside Avenue). Exception - working animals hired by the Town.
- No kayaking or canoeing
- Fishing is prohibited in bathing/swim area unless permission is granted by the Parks and Recreation Department.
