Born and raised in New York City, Marc Hartog has been involved in Emergency Medical Services for over 40 years. After graduating from Columbia University, where he was one of the founding members of Columbia University EMS, he spent 20 years working in New York City’s Times Square and Hells Kitchen areas as a 911 Paramedic, and was Administrative Director of Emergency Services running the Paramedic Service and Emergency Room for a midtown hospital. During that time, he also earned a Master of Public Administration degree from New York University in Health Care Policy and Administration. Having moved from NYC to Westport in 1990, Marc accepted the position of Paramedic Crew Chief with Westport EMS in March 2000, and has held the position of Deputy Director of Westport EMS since 2010. |
