Conservation Commission Field Trip Notice

CONSERVATION COMMISSION

FIELD TRIP NOTICE

The Westport Conservation Commission will conduct a site visit for orientation purposes to the following properties on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. in preparation for reviewing agenda items at its December 10, 2014 meeting.

  1. 122 Harbor Road:  Application #WPL-9896-14 by Richard Kordas on behalf of Garrett Wilson to construct a new single family residence and associated site improvements. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  2. 260 Compo Road South:  Application #WPL-9918-14 by Roberge Associates Coastal Engineers, LLC on behalf of the Town of Westport to improve an existing parking lot and its associated runoff. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  3. 29 Compo Beach Road:  Application #WPL-9914-14 by Juan P Paredes, PE of Land-Tech Consultants on behalf of Garrett Wilson to construct a new single family dwelling, pool, gravel driveway and related utilities. Work is within the WPLO area of Gray’s Creek.
  4. IF NEEDED-1135 Post Road East: CONTINUED APPLICATION – IWW,WPL-9895-14 by Redniss & Mead on behalf of 1135 Post Road East, LLC for the proposed razing of the existing structures and constructing two,  two-story commercial buildings, surface parking, driveways and walkways in the southern portion of the property. Four residential buildings with underground parking garage will be constructed in the northern portion of the property. Work is within the WPLO area of Muddy Brook.
  5. 33 Colony Rd – Request for staff to issue an Administrative permit for a 12’ x 14’ addition over an existing screened porch within the 50’ upland review area.

 

Members will meet at the Conservation Department first to carpool. Some sites might be especially wet and or be prone to ticks so appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended.
