Notice is hereby that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):


1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of June 25, 2014, the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of July 1, 2014, and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of June 25, 2014.
 
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to accept monetary gifts to the Town of Westport Human Services Department to support the 2014 Campership Program and the 2014 Ceremonies and Celebrations Program, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended October 28, 1998.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to accept a grant in the amount of $5000 from United Way of Coastal Fairfield County to the Town of Westport Human Services Department for the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Emergency Assistance program, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended October 28, 1998.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Luciano Park and the town-owned roadway known as Railroad Place on Sunday, September 14, 2014 between the hours of 1 pm and 4 pm by the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce for “Slice of Saugatuck” event, contingent upon compliance with comments and directives from relevant town departments, including the Westport Weston Health District, and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-Owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Network Access Service Agreement by and between the State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services and its Commission for Educational Technology and the Town of Westport to provide increased capacity for the current fiber internet service.


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between ConservArt, LLC and the Town of Westport for the restoration of the Minute Man Monument Site.


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Personnel Director, to approve an Unemployment Compensation Service Agreement between Unemployment Tax Management Corporation and the Town of Westport.


8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Finance Director, to approve an agreement between Marsh and McLennan Agency LLC – Northeast and the Town of Westport for Workers’ Compensation and Property and Casualty Insurance consulting services.




9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to grant a waiver of the “Westport Policy on Encroachments on Town Property” as it relates to a fence located within the Town right-of way at property known as 42 Sasco Creek Road, contingent upon compliance with the Town Engineer’s letter of July 8, 2014.


10. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property located at 10 Wakeman Place, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of July 2, 2014.


11. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property located at 5 Blue Coat Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of July 16, 2014.
