Legal Notice & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of July 17, 2013; and to approve the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of July 17, 2013.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Traffic Authority, to approve the temporary closure of Church Lane, from Post Road East/Main Street intersection to Elm Street, on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, from 3 – 6 p.m. for the Westport/ Weston Family Y’s 90th birthday celebration, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Operation Fuel as relates to programs providing energy assistance, as recommended by the Human Services Department.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a grant and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and United Way of Coastal Fairfield County in the amount of $6,000 to support Positive Youth Development’s Parenting and Community Service Corps. programs, as recommended by the Human Services Department.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Renewal of Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of SWCT (RSVP) as relates to assisting Westport elderly and disabled residents with transportation to medical appointments and as recommended by the Human Services Department.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an Agreement for Paramedic Services between the Town of Westport and the Norwalk Hospital Association as relates to paramedic mobile emergency medical services.

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve two Technical Service Support Agreement Addendums between the Westport Emergency Medical Services and Physio-Control, Inc. as relates to the on site repair and one on site inspection per year of Lifepak equipment.

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and the City of Norwalk as relates to juvenile review board services, as recommended by the Westport Police Department.

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a revision to the municipal parking lot adjacent to 6 Wilton Road time limit from the current two hours to one hour, as supported by the Westport Police Department and the Planning & Zoning Department.

10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Hosted Email Security Service Agreement between the Town of Westport and Edgewave, Inc. as relates to email security service delivery of inbound/outbound anti-spam, anti-virus blocking, malware blocking, email policy enforcement and TLS encryption, as recommended by the Information Technology Director.

11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the award of a design contract to Silver Petrucelli Associates for the replacement of the Saugatuck Co-op building roof, as recommended by the Public Works Director.

12. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property known as 11 Sunrise Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of July 30, 2013.

13. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a sanitary sewer connection at property known as 11 Lee’s Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of Aug. 6, 2013.
