CONSERVATION COMMISSION

          FIELD TRIP NOTICE

 

The Westport Conservation Commission will conduct a site visit for orientation purposes on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9:00 am in preparation for reviewing agenda items at its July 17, 2013 meeting.

 

  1. 5 Chapel Hill Rd.: Review of restoration planting plan installation for wetland violation.
  2. 1 Conte Place:  Application #WPL-9498-13 by Dean Martin, PE on behalf of Graham J Bond to raze the existing structure and construct a new single family dwelling with associate site improvements. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  3. 54 Harbor Road:  Application #WPL-9494-13 by Jacek Bigosinski on behalf of Gild Orwasher to lift house to elevation 14.4’ NGVD, create parking for two cars below, add a second floor, and add additional finished space to allow for a new internal stair. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  4. 15 Hermit Lane:  Application #AA,WPL/E-9497-13 by Barr Associates LLC on behalf of the Estate of Anita Dore for a proposed three lot subdivision and free cut outside the IWW upland review area and the WPLO boundary of Silver Brook.
  5. 79 Newtown Turnpike:  CONTINUED APPLICATION Application #IWW,WPL-9431-13 by Land-Tech Consultants on behalf of Chabad Lubavitc Synagogue c/o Ken Gruder for the partial reconstruction and modification of the existing parking lot. Portions of the work are within the WPLO area of Poplar Plains Brook, the wetland and the upland review area.

 

Members will meet at the Conservation Department first to carpool. Some sites might be especially wet so appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended. Tick repellant is also encouraged.
