NOTICE AND AGENDA OF BOARD OF FINANCE MEETING

         

 SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR THIS PUBLIC MEETING: 

This meeting will be held in-person IN THE AUDITORIUM OF THE WESTPORT town hall.

This meeting will be broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, AND/OR live streamed on the Town Website westportct.gov . (On the website, select “How Do I” heading, and select “Watch Town Meetings”.) Meeting materials will be available at westportct.gov along with the meeting notice posted on the Meeting List & Calendar page. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision.

 

NOTICE OF BOARD OF FINANCE PUBLIC MEETING

                                                    

The Board of Finance will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes: 

     AGENDA

 

  1. To approve the Board of Finance Minutes of the June 5, 2024 Regular Meeting and the June 10, 2024 and June 28, 2024 Special Meetings.

     

  2. Financial Report from the Finance Director. (Discussion Only)

     

  3. Status Update from the Audit Manager. (Discussion Only)

     

  4. Upon the request of the Chief of Police, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $160,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund 51002218-500384 to purchase two (2) New Electric Vehicles for the Westport Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

     

  5. Upon the request of the Deputy Chief of Police, to approve an appropriation of $32,565.63 to the Railroad Parking Reserve Expenses Account 29002219-588000 for Emergency Elevator Repairs at the Saugatuck Train Station.

     

  6. Upon the request of the First Selectwoman, to approve a transfer of $225,000 to the appropriate department salary accounts from Account 10109917-519000 (Reserve Salary Adjustments) for non-bargaining employees’ salary increases for FY2024-2025.

     

  7. Upon the request of the Superintendent of Schools, to approve a transfer from unaudited unexpended 2023-2024 operating funds of the Board of Education to the BOE Carryover Account.

     

  8. Upon the request of the Town Attorney’s office, to approve the lease renewal between the Town of Westport and Westport Astronomical Society at 182 Bayberry Lane for an additional five (5) years commencing upon receipt of all approvals.

     

  9. Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $90,000 to the Sewer Reserve Fund Account 32003330-500191-10144 for Pump Station #11 Force Main Temporary Relocation & Replacement.

     

  10. Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $50,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund 51003310-500153 for the Rehabilitation of existing spray foam roof at the Aspetuck Health District building located at 180 Bayberry Lane.

     

  11. Upon the request of the Parks & Recreation Interim Director, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $554,000 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30508810-500464 for the Replacement of Doubleday Tennis Court.
