The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The regular meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s meeting of October 25, 2023. 

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented. 

     

  3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Department of Human Services, to approve a renewed Assistance Agreement between the Town of Westport and Catholic Charities to continue the WCSA’s Congregate and Home Delivered Meal Program Service.

     

  4. To take such action as the meeting my determine, upon the request of the Department of Human Services, to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and TRIO Community Meals, LLC, to provide private pay home-delivered meals to Senior Center clients. 

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Department of Human Services, to approve the acceptance of a $70,561 beneficiary agreement between Westport’s Center for Senior Activities and the Southwest Connecticut Agency on Aging for 23SDRASC01WSP- American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Senior Center Funding. 

     

  6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Wakeman Town Farm Steering Committee, to approve an Agreement for Architectural Services between the Town of Westport and Philip H. Cerrone III, for architectural services for the renovation of the barn at the Wakeman Town Farm.

  7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to award a contract for construction of a bus shelter pad, sidewalk, and driveway at 191 Post Road West to Reliable Excavating Co., Inc. for their bid price of $62,125.00. 

     

  8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to award a contract for construction of a bus shelter pad, sidewalk, and retaining wall at 176 Post Road West to Reliable Excavating Co., Inc. for their bid price of $39,037.50. 

     

  9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Local Traffic Authority, to approve installation of three crosswalks at: Punch Bowl Drive at Cross Highway, Cross Highway at Roseville Road, and Roseville Road at Cross Highway. 

     

  10. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #9 Willowbrook Drive, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of October 26, 2023. 

     

  11. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #22 Burritt’s Landing South, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of October 26, 2023. 

     

  12. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #66 Kings Highway North, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of October 31, 2023.
