The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

REVISION 2 09-25-2023 ITEM #7 WITHDRAWN

 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The regular meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s meeting of September 13, 2023. 

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

3. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the closure of (i) Main Street from Post Road to Avery Place (ii) Avery Place to Myrtle Avenue and  (iii) Myrtle Avenue from Evergreen Avenue to Main Street from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 (rain date: Thursday, October 26, 2023) for the Parks & Recreation-sponsored Halloween Parade.

4. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to establish School Zones with Fines Doubled, on the following Town–owned roadways surrounding schools:

a. North Avenue at Coleytown Elementary and Coleytown Middle Schools
b. North Avenue at Staples High School and Bedford Middle School
c. Cross Highway at Bedford Middle School
d. Hyde Lane at Long Lots Elementary School
e. Burr Road at Kings Highway Elementary School
f. Morningside Drive South at Greens Farms Elementary School

5. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to request of the Traffic Division of the Connecticut Department of Transportation, to establish School Zones with Fines Doubled, on the following State-owned roadways surrounding schools:

a. Easton Road at Coleytown Elementary School
b. Post Road East at Greens Farms Elementary School
c. Riverside Avenue at Saugatuck Elementary School

6. Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to request of the Traffic Division of the Connecticut Department of Transportation, to allow the installation of a mid-block crosswalk along with Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons, (RRFB’s), at the intersection of Easton Road and Wisteria Lane.

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Agreement for Paramedic Services and the related Business Associate Agreement between the Town of Westport and the Norwalk Hospital Association as it relates to acquisition of the designated services of the Hospital’s paramedics to augment coverage provided by the Westport Emergency Medical Services (WEMS).

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Business Associate Agreement and Terms of Use between the Town of Westport and Pulsara for use of its communications app by Westport EMS.

     

    REVISION 1 09-25-2023 ADD ITEM #8 

  3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract for Bid 24-093T, Pavement Preservation and Repairs, Parsell Public Works Center, Fall 2023, to Nardi Masonry Construction, LLC in the amount of $291,986.00.
