Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The regular meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent to selectwoman@westportct.gov prior to the meeting. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items (subject to revision):
EXECUTIVE SESSION
- It is anticipated that the Board of Selectwomen will vote to enter into Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter in accordance with Town Code Sec. C4-5..
REGULAR MEETING
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of August 16, 2023 and the Board of Selectwoman’s Special meeting of August 23, 2023.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to the installation of a landing, ramp and floating dock to be located within the Town property in the canal off the Saugatuck River adjacent to the property known as 4 Marsh Court, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments and Commissions, the CT DEEP, and execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.
- Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to authorize the Chair to submit a request to the CT DOT Traffic Engineering Division Chief for the installation of a crosswalk adjacent to 575 Riverside Avenue (CT Route 136) provided that the Town of Westport installs ADA compliant landing areas and sidewalk ramps on both sides of Riverside Avenue at that location.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Award of Contract for Bid 24-092T, Pavement Preservation and Repairs - Fall 2023.
