REPRESENTATIVE TOWN MEETING NOTICE

REVISED 10/6/22- Item #5 postponed to a future meeting date

All Representative Town Meeting members and inhabitants of the Town of Westport are hereby notified that a meeting of the Representative Town Meeting members will be held at Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave. in the auditorium on October 11, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. for the purposes listed below. If necessary, the meeting shall reconvene on Tuesday October 25, 2022, to deal with any agenda items not disposed of at the adjournment of the October 11, 2022, meeting.

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Superintendent of Schools, to approve an appropriation of $114,860.00 to the 2021-2022 Budget, BOE Rentals & Reimbursements Expenditure Account.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $75,000.00 to the Sewer Reserve Fund Account to purchase one (1) F350 Sewer Collection System Service Truck with Flatbed, Sander, and Plow. 

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $102,000.00 to the Sewer Reserve Fund Account to replace four (4) Fire Alarm Systems at the Influent, Sludge Processing, Chlorination and Control Buildings at the Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF). 

4.  To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and a request by the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation of $260,000.00 to the Sewer Reserve Fund Account for Emergency Repairs to Force Main Pump Station #10. 

   5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of 3 RTM members, to adopt an ordinance restricting the use of gas-powered leaf blowers in Westport. (Second reading. Full text available in the Town Clerk's Office). Item postponed to a future meeting date.
