LEGAL NOTICE AND AGENDA

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Historic District Commission will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. and a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Town Hall Room 201 for the following purposes:

WORK SESSION
1. To review and comment on a pre-application for proposed modifications at 4 Violet Lane in the Violet Lane Historic District.
PUBLIC HEARING
2. To hear Chairman’s report and update on current HDC activities.

3. To approve the minutes of the May 10, 2012 public hearing.

4. Upon the request of the property owner, to form a study committee for the proposed local historic landmark designation at Compo Mill Pond (100 Compo Mill Pond).

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated May 2, 2012 for the installation of a front walkway and steps at 20 Gorham Avenue in the Gorham Avenue Historic District.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated May 22, 3012 for the replacement of certain window sashes at 90 Post Road East, the Old Town Hall, in the Jesup Road Historic District.

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated June 1, 2012 for the substantial paint removal and replacement of some siding and trim materials at 61 Jesup Road, the Jesup Godillot Carriage House in the Jesup Road Historic District

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 14 Charcoal Hill Road, ca. 1928, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory.

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 4 Stony Brook Road, c. 1800, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory as the Abijah Hanford Henry Runette House.

10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 17 Bayberry Lane.

11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of delay for a demolition permit application at 4 Keller Lane.

12. To review and comment on Planning and Zoning Transmittal Coastal Site Plan #12-020 at 43 Compo Mill Cove, c. 1903, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory as the Samuel Hoyt/M.M. Dunham Cottage.

WORK SESSION
13. To discuss nominations for Annual Preservation Awards.
14. To review and discuss a number of HDC operational policies and procedures.
