WESTPORT HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION

AGENDA – REVISED #1*

The Westport Historic District Commission will hold a public meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, in Town Hall Room 201/201A for the following purposes: 


1. To approve the minutes of the November 12, 2019 public meeting. 
 
2. To act on a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated November 21, 2019 to renew a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness for windows, trim and siding at 30 Evergreen Avenue located in the Evergreen Avenue Local Historic District.

3. To act on a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated November 21, 2019 to renew a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness for roof replacement at 30 Evergreen Avenue located in the Evergreen Avenue Local Historic District.

4. To act on a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated November 21, 2019 to renew a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness for modifications to the 1984 addition at 30 Evergreen Avenue located in the Evergreen Avenue Local Historic District.

5. To act on a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated November 21, 2019 for modifications and enclosure of the front porch/gallery at 30 Evergreen Avenue located in the Evergreen Avenue Local Historic District.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to oppose the issuance of the demolition permit at 11 Webb Road and require the full 180-day delay.

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to oppose the issuance of the demolition permit at 7 Barbara Place and require the full 180-day delay.

8. *To take such action as the meeting may determine to oppose the issuance of the demolition permit at 9 Yankee Hill Road and require the full 180-day delay.

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to recommend the approval of the Riverside Avenue National Historic District to the State Historic Preservation Office. 

10. To hear the chairman’s update on the thematic designation of nine early 20th century stone bridges (Kings Highway, Myrtle Avenue, Jesup Road, Main Street, Evergreen Avenue, Long Lots Road, Cross Highway, Greens Farms Road, Saugatuck Avenue) as Local Historic Properties.
