WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION

PUBLIC HEARING

APRIL 17, 2019 – ROOM CHANGE

Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Westport Conservation Commission pursuant to the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act, and the Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Inland Wetlands and Watercourses of the Town of Westport (IWW Regulations) to be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in the Room [201/201 A] 307/309 at 7:00 p.m. of the Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue. The Commission shall meet to take such action under the purview of the Town’s IWW Regulations and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance as the meeting may determine with regard to the following:

Changes or Additions to the Agenda. The Commission may amend the agenda by a 2/3 vote to include items not requiring a Public Hearing.

 

Work Session I: 7:00 p.m., Room [201/201A] 309 (The work session is not a public hearing. The public is invited to attend but may not speak.) The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. A public hearing will not be opened at this time for the following applications:

  1. Receipt of Applications
  2. Report on the status of existing enforcement activity.
  3. Approval of March 11, 2019 Special Meeting minutes.
  4. Approval of March 20, 2019 meeting minutes.
  5. Other Business

Public Meeting: 7:10 p.m., Room [201/201A] 309

 

107 Old Rd.: Discussion and possible vote on draft Stipulated Settlement Agreement of the case of Amy L.Y.Day, Executrix of the Estate of Catherine D. Fleming vs.the Westport Conservation Commission as it relates to the denial of Application #IWW-10450-17 and #WPL-10488-17 for a four (4) lot open space subdivision. Said settlement proposes two lots. Although this is not a public hearing, the public is invited to attend and speak.

Public Hearing: Room [201/201A] 309 The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. If applications are determined to be complete the Commission will proceed by opening the hearing. (At this time interested parties may be heard after being recognized by the Chairman. Written communication may be received for all applications until the public hearing is closed.) Applications and plans may be examined in the Conservation Department, Room 205, Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

  1. 300 Post Road West:  Application #IWW/M-10772-19 by Barr Associates on behalf of 300 PRW LLC to amend wetland boundary map #B8.
  2. 58 Turkey Hill Road South:  Application #IWW/M-10776-19 by Richard Gordon c/o John F Fallon, Esq. to amend wetland boundary map # G7.
  3. 259 Saugatuck Avenue & 1 Charmers Landing:  Application #WPL-10775-19 by Peter Romano of LandTech on behalf of Charmers Landing Property LLC and 259 Saugatuck Avenue, LLC to construct a residential dock, which will be shared between two properties. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
  4. 54 Wilton Road:  Application #WPL-10783-19 by William Fitzpatrick on behalf of STC Green, LLC for site improvements including the construction of a three floor residential building. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.

The Commission may not open new business on the agenda after 10:00 p.m. at the discretion of the Chairman.  This includes applications scheduled for public hearings.  Items shall be continued or rescheduled to a later date as necessary.
