Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:


1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public meeting of November 15, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public meeting of November 15, 2017.


2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various town roadways on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM for the Greens Farms Academy Dragon Dash, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various town roadways on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM for the Bike MS Event to benefit the National MS Society, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various town roadways on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM for the Westport Kiwanis Club Triathlon, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Agreement between the Connecticut Light & Power Company d/b/a Eversource Energy and the Town of Westport as it relates to the participation in the Clean Energies Communities Pledge and the associated Energy Efficiency Fund program incentives.


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Town Clerk, and in accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sec.7-65 (b), to approve the appointments of Neil F. Harding and John J. Harding as subregistrars of vital records to act on the Town Clerk’s behalf during hours in which the office of the registrar of vital records is closed.


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Human Services, to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between Eversource Energy and the Town of Westport for the completion of the 2017/2018 energy season Matching Payment Program for energy assistance applicants. 
8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a temporary encroachment easement on Town property within 8 feet off the face of the north and east elevations of the property at 44 Main Street for the placement of pipe scaffolding, associated barricades and a dumpster for a period of time not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the execution of the easement. 


9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to approve the Award of Contract Bid #18-908T (Compo Marina Channel Dredging – Phase II, Offshore Disposal) in the amount of $403,000.00 to Coastline Consulting, LLC of Branford, CT.


10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to adopt a resolution authorizing the First Selectman, throughout his term of office which expires on November 16, 2021, to execute all contracts and any renewals, extensions, amendments or modifications thereto which have been approved for signature by the Board of Selectmen.


11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to adopt a resolution authorizing the  Board of Selectmen to enter into with and deliver to the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security any and all documents which it deems to be necessary or appropriate; and that James S. Marpe as First  Selectman, is authorized and directed to execute and deliver any and all documents on behalf of the Board of Selectmen to do and perform all acts and things which he deems to be necessary or appropriate to carry out the terms of such documents, including, but not limited to, executing and delivering all agreements and documents contemplated by such documents.


12. To review the calendar for regular scheduled meetings of the Board of Selectmen for the year beginning February 1, 2018, to be filed with the Town Clerk’s Office in accordance with Section 1-225b of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut.
