SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING
JUNE 12, 2017
Notice is hereby given of a Special Meeting of the Westport Conservation Commission pursuant to the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act, the Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Inland Wetlands and Watercourses of the Town of Westport (IWW Regulations) and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance to be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 201/201A of the Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue. The Commission shall meet to take such action under the purview of the Town’s IWW Regulations and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance as the meeting may determine with regard to the following:
Work Session I: 6:30 p.m., Room 201/201A (The work session is not a public hearing. The public is invited to attend but may not speak.) The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. A public hearing will not be opened at this time for the following applications:
1.Approval of April 17, 2017 meeting minutes.
2.Approval of May 8, 2017 Special Meeting minutes.
Public Hearing: 6:35 p.m., Room 201/201A. (At this time interested parties may be heard after being recognized by the Chairman. Written communication may be received for all applications until the public hearing is closed.)
1.282 Compo Road South: Application #WPL-10418-17 by William Achilles, AIA on behalf of SIR-282 Compo South LLC to construct a new 2 ½ story single family residence to replace the existing residence with a FEMA compliant structure including a crawlspace, pervious driveway and patios, a/c units, generator, pool, public water and sewer with site drainage. Portions of the work are within the WPLO area of Gray’s Creek.
2.205 Bayberry Lane: Application #IWW-10411-17 by James W Tate RLA on behalf of James & Dawn Henry to realign the front drive to allow better sightlines with stone columns marking entrance; to provide underground electric/CATV; new fieldstone retaining walls; replace damaged 12” CMP culvert with arched culvert; fill 2 ft. cover and repave. Portions of the work are within the wetland and the upland review area setback.
3.107 Old Rd.: Continuation of Application #IWW, WPL-10397-17 by LANDTECH on behalf of the Estate of Catherine D. Fleming for a proposed 4-lot open space residential subdivision served by a private road, public sewer and public water. The site contains an unnamed tributary to
Applications and plans may be examined in the Conservation Department, Room 205, Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
