LEVEL 1: NO COST TO WESTPORT RESIDENTS  

During a single trip to the Transfer Station, residents may bring a maximum of 6, 30-gallon trash bags or their equivalency for disposal. 

If you exceed the 6, 30-gallon trash bags limit, See LEVEL 2.

 

LEVEL 2: FOR LOADS WHICH EXCEED THE 6, 30-GALLON BAG LIMIT:

$75 minimum per load:  for any van, pick-up truck or small utility trailer exceeding the 6-bag limit.

$145 per ton:  for any vehicle who exceeds the sides of a pick-up truck. THE DECISION OF THE STATION ATTENDANT IS FINAL. CURRENTLY, ONLY DUMP PERMITS ARE ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT.

  • Dump permits can be purchased in Westport Town Hall, Department of Public Works office, Room 210.
  • Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

LEVEL 3: RECYCLING FEES FOR APPLIANCES AND TIRES

While many of the recycling services at the Transfer Station are free to residents, there is a fee for appliances and tires due to the high cost of processing. 

$5.00 Tire permit fee per tire, TIRES MUST BE REMOVED FROM RIMS

$15 Recycling fee per appliance:  Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Dishwashers, Dryers, Freezers, Microwaves, Ovens, Ranges, Refrigerators, Stoves, Washers, Water Heaters, or by decision of attendant.  THE DECISION OF THE STATION ATTENDANT IS FINAL.

CURRENTLY, ONLY DUMP PERMITS ARE ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT.
