The Recycling Center is located at 300 Sherwood Island Connector.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 am – 2:30 pm, Saturday 7 am– noon)
The Recycling Center is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
Westport residents may recycle the following items at the transfer station: acceptable types of; paper, plastic, metals and glass (see flyer below), used motor oil, antifreeze, most batteries and lightbulbs, including fluorescent and compact fluorescent bulbs, electronics, paints and even textiles, such as clothing and linens.

Electronics Recycling
Household electronic equipment, such as TVs, computers, monitors, stereo equipment, cellphones etc., may be placed on the designated tables at the recycling center. Download our new flyer from Take 2 Recycling. [PDF]
Paint Recycling
Interior and exterior architectural paint products, such as latex and oil-based paints, stains and varnishes, may be recycled at the recycling center. For further information, download our new flyer from Paintcare Paint Recycling.
Textile Recycling
Westport residents can recycle many different types of clothing, linens and footwear including damaged and stained items. While, 45% of the textiles are reused, 30% are turned into wiping cloths, and 20% are recycled into new products.

Battery Recycling
Westport residents may recycle these types of batteries at the transfer station.
Lightbulb Recycling
Westport residents may recycle these types of lightbulbs at the transfer station, including many different styles of mercury containing and non-mercury lamps and light bulbs.
