Lot 8 is closed by the Department of Transportation due to construction. Lot 7 is available for daily parking.
There are 60 temporary daily parking spaces available in Lot #1. These spaces are marked and found in the entire first row closest to Park Street and Saugatuck Avenue. See the map for details.

Location
The westbound (New York-bound) station is located at 45 Railroad Place. The eastbound (New Haven-bound) station is located on Ferry Lane on the opposite side of the tracks.
There are two tunnels providing access to both sides. The handicapped-accessible tunnel is located at the elevator west of the New York-bound station. The older tunnel is located to the east of the New York-bound station.
Parking
There are currently 8 parking lots at the Saugatuck railroad station. Lot 8 and Lot 4 are both open and are designated daily parking only. Lot 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 are permit parking only. Lot 2 is permit, daily and hourly. Please note that the parking maps are subject to change. Pay attention to the signs in all lots.
Parking is identified by signage - all lot numbers are black on yellow backgrounds. Daily areas are identified by blue backgrounds on the signs, permit areas have red backgrounds.
Parking in all lots is free of charge Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 AM and on weekends and national holidays. National holidays include New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. You may not park in restricted parking spots or handicapped parking spots at any time.
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Fees for charging EVs at the RR Station are 35 cents per kWh. No idling fee will be assessed. Payment can made by scanning the QR code on the charging unit or submitting payment through a third-party application provider currently utilized for EV charging. Users must pay any associated fees according to the third-party provider's agreed-upon rate. The Town is not responsible for transactions between EV Charger users and third-party providers.
There are 7 electric vehicle charging stations in lot #1 and 6 electric vehicle charging stations in lot #3 by the eastbound station, all are identified by signage. These spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis for permit and daily parking of electric vehicles only. All charging fees will apply. The electric vehicle must be plugged in whenever an electric vehicle parking spot is utilized. Non-EV Vehicles or EV Vehicles not plugged in will receive a parking fine. Permits are not required after 3 pm Monday through Friday and weekends, and no daily fee will be charged.
Station hours
Westbound (New York-bound) station: 5 AM until midnight daily.
Eastbound (New Haven-bound) station: Open during tenant business hours.
Donut Crazy of Westport is located at 1 Ferry Lane and is open Monday - Friday, 5 AM to 8 PM, Saturday, 7 AM to 8 PM and Sunday 7 AM to 5 PM.
Transportation to/from the station
Westport Transit Wheels2U Westport on-demand shuttle service.
The station is served by two taxi companies. Westport Taxi and Saugatuck Taxi cabs are generally parked on the eastbound side on Ferry Lane to await incoming trains from New York City.
Avis/Budget Rental Car is located in the eastbound station.
Quick Facts
The official
Metro-North Railroad no longer staffs ticket offices in any of our stations. Tickets must be purchased from the vending machines located on and near the platforms on both sides.
The westbound station received an ADA-compliant renovation in 2004. The eastbound station received an award-winning renovation in 2012. Both buildings date back to the 19th century and are excellent examples of New Haven Railroad station houses.
The eastbound station power is supplied through solar panels mounted on the roof.
