a. Medical insurance currently provided by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, prescription insurance and dental insurance.

b. The plan is a High Deductible Health Plan that has a $2k or $4k annual deductible, depending on the number of family members. The town contributes one-half annually towards this deductible through a Health Savings Account. Employees can opt to contribute additional pre-tax money into this account to pay for medically related services or products.

c. Employees and eligible dependents can elect to continue their health care insurance at group rates under certain conditions when coverage would otherwise be terminated.

a. Regular employees who regularly work 30 or more hours per week accrue vacation days, as follows:

i. Completion of one year gives 10 vacation days
ii. Two years – 15 days
iii. 13 paid holidays throughout the year

b. Regular full-time employees are eligible for three paid personal days each fiscal year.

c. Regular full-time employees will receive three days of paid to leave to attend a funeral of an immediate family member.

The town is covered under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and complies with all FMLA requirements:

a. To be eligible, employees need to have worked for the town for 12 months and at least 1,250 hours.

b. Employees can take up to 12 weeks of unpaid FMLA leave per every 12 months for the following reasons:

i. The birth/care of a newborn child
ii. The adoption or placement of a new child
iii. To care for an immediate family member with a serious health condition
iv. A health condition that prevents them from performing their job duties
v. For certain qualifying exigencies such as military events or childcare and school activities

c. Employees can take up to 26 weeks off in a year to care for a spouse or child who served in the arms forces and is undergoing medical treatment.

Absences related to pregnancy and/or childbirth are paid in accordance with the Town’s sick leave policy applicable to the employee.

a. Town employees and immediate family remembers may receive confidential, outside professional help for assistance with problems that affect their work and/or personal life.

b. EAP assists with drug or alcohol abuse, family or marital problems, financial and other similar problems.

a. All full time town employees are eligible to obtain recreation permits and beach parking stickers at reduced rates.

b. All town employees are eligible for membership in the Tri-Town Teacher’s credit Union.

c. An employee who is laid off by the town may be eligible for unemployment benefits.

d. Based on the terms of the applicable Pension Plan, un-used sick days will result in additional credited service in calculating the pension.

Regular, non-seasonal employees who work 40 or less hours:

a. Receive one hour of sick time for every 40 hours of work with a maximum of 40 hours a year.

b. Non-exempt hourly employees will receive 1.5x pay for any hours worked over 40 hours in a week.
