Lateral Firefighter Applicants

Are you currently a full-time firefighter, or have graduated from the CT Fire Academy Recruit Firefighter Training Program within the past 3 years? If so, please complete an Indication of Interest Card. You should receive email notification that your information has been received.
We plan to run lateral Firefighter testing sessions 2 or 3 times per year, or as positions become available and the candidate pool fills.

New Firefighter Applicants

If you are not currently a full-time Firefighter, please complete an Indication of Interest Card to be included in our database. You should receive email notification that your information has been received. In addition, you should focus on completing the CPAT and your EMT certification. Remember that both of those are required to receive a conditional offer. Also, having them in place during the recruiting process is an indication that you are serious about a career with the Westport Fire Department. We are not currently recruiting new Firefighters, but plan to run new Firefighter testing sessions 2 or 3 times per year, or as positions become available and the candidate pool fills.

Become a Westport Firefighter

Westport Fire Department occasionally has openings within its ranks for new firefighter candidates.
