The charge of the Wakeman Town Farm Committee is to see that the Farm serves the Westport community as an educational demonstration center for sustainable living. The Committee consists of eight members appointed by the First Selectman to serve one-year terms.

The vision of the Wakeman Town Farm is to:

  • provide Westport citizens with place to experience hands-on homesteading practices, encompassing both traditional and cutting edge methods.
  • offer an array of educational programs in agriculture, land stewardship and animal husbandry to inspire the community to unite for the mutual benefit of a healthy environment and a more sustainable future.
