The Blight Prevention ordinance, adopted by the RTM at its meeting of Sept. 3, 2013  is intended to protect, preserve and promote public health, safety and welfare; to maintain and preserve the beauty of neighborhoods; and to allow for control of Blighted Premises.

The Blight Prevention Board will be made up of five members, appointed by the First Selectman.

The Blight Prevention Officer shall be a town employee designated by the First Selectman.
