WESTPORT HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
LEGAL NOTICE AND AGENDA
Notice is hereby given that the Westport Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Town Hall *Room 309/307 for the following purposes:
PUBLIC HEARING
1.To hear Chair’s report and update on current HDC activities.
2. To approve the minutes of the August 11, 2015 public hearing.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated August 25, 2015 for proposed exterior modifications at 16 Gorham Avenue located in the Gorham Avenue Historic District.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated August 20, 2015 for proposed replacement fencing materials, repair and/or replacement of stone walls, removal and replacement of existing asphalt driveway, and repair and extension of paths at 96 Kings Highway North located in the Kings Highway North Historic District.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated August 21, 2015 for the installation of a split rail fence at Christ and Holy Trinity Cemetery at Kings Highway North at the intersection of Old Hill Road located in the Kings Highway North Historic District.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the request of a citizen to form a study committee for the purpose of investigating the possible designation of the Saugatuck River Swing Bridge, c. 1884, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as a Local Historic Landmark Property.
7.Upon the request of the Planning and Zoning Commission to comment on One Glendinning Place/25 Ford Road Site Plan/Special Permit Appl.#15-035, specifically the proposed alterations to 25 Ford Road, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory as the Dorr Testing Laboratory, c. 1937.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition
permit application at 15 Bauer Place.
9.To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at One Hyatt Lane.
