Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of July 8, 2015.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to: (i) approve the closure of Railroad Place and Franklin Street; and (ii) approve the use of Town-owned property known as Luciano Park on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. to noon by the Westport/Weston Chamber of Commerce & Fairfield County Concours for the “Concours d’Caffeine” event, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Director of Human Services, to accept monetary gifts from various organizations to support the 2015 Campership Program in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Director of Human Services, to accept a monetary gift from the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County for the Department of Human Services’ Families in Need Escrow Fund in accordance with the Policy for the Gifts to the Town.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director, to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Operation Fuel, Inc., to allow for the Town of Westport to participate in the 2015-2016 energy assistance program.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director, to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Connecticut Mentoring Fund Advisory Council and the Town of Westport, as it relates to acceptance of a grant award for the improvement and enhancement of the mentoring program.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Registrars of Voters, to approve an Annual Maintenance Contract between the Town of Westport and LHS Associates, Inc. for maintenance, repair and service of tabulator/ballot boxes.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine, to review and approve an Easement over a portion of Town property adjacent to the property of Post Maple Real Estate, LLC at 1529 Post Road East, contingent upon compliance with the Town Engineer’s letter of July 14, 2015.
