Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of May 13, 2015 and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of May 13, 2015.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as Jesup Green on Saturday, August 15, 2015 (rain date August 16, 2015) from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the Japan Society of Fairfield County’s Bon Odori event, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as Jesup Green on Sunday, June 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the Westport Public Library’s Summer Solstice Festival, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as Jesup Green from 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. each Wednesday from July 1, 2015 through August 19, 2015 for Westport Public Library’s “Storytime on the Green,” contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as Jesup Green from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. each Tuesday from July 7, 2015 through August 11, 2015 for Westport Public Library’s “Story Wagon Story Time,” contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as Jesup Green from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 for Westport Public Library’s “Outdoor Messy Crafts,” contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to approve award of contract Bid No 15-796T to Freightliner of Hartford for the bid amount of $814,502.00 for the purchase of five (5) medium duty dump trucks.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a renewal of the lease between the Westport Community Theater, Inc. and the Town of Westport for premises located at 110 Myrtle Avenue.
9.To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with Section 9.01 of the Lease between the Town of Westport and Longshore Associates of Westport Limited Partnership, dated January 1, 2007, to consent to the subletting of the restaurant space at the Inn at Longshore, located at 260 Compo Road South, by Longshore Associates of Westport Limited Partnership to BNG Partners, LLC d/b/a Pearl at Longshore.
