Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of April 8, 2015.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned properties known as Taylor Parking Lot and Jesup Green on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. by the Westport Sunrise Rotary for the Great Duck Day event, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve (i) the closure of Imperial Avenue from Imperial Avenue Parking Lot to Baker Avenue for 15-20 minutes at the onset of the Duck Race 5K Fun Run; and (ii) the use of Town owned Properties known as Imperial Avenue Parking, Imperial Avenue and Baker Avenue on Saturday, June 13, 2015 by the Staples High School Interact Club and Westport Sunrise Rotary from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for the Duck Race 5K Fun Run, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for the Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to (i) approve the Master Municipal Agreement for Rights of Way Projects between the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation and the Town of Westport as it relates to streamlining the authorization and distribution of state and federal funds with respect to municipal rights of way projects; and (ii) authorize the First Selectman to execute the Agreement on behalf of the Town.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to review and act upon a petition to discontinue an unimproved segment of the Town-owned road known as Hilltop Trail, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant Town departments.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the E-Payment Services Agreement between the Town of Westport and Point & Pay, LLC as it relates to the Tax Department’s electronic payment services.
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to determine preliminary benefit assessments to be levied for the construction of a sewer system affecting properties located in all or part of the following areas: Bulkley Avenue North, Buttonwood Lane, Elizabeth Drive, Evans Court, Forest Drive, Long Lots Road, Mallard Lane, Maple Avenue North, Old Road, Shadowlawn Drive and Ulbrick Lane.
8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a residential sanitary sewer connection at property located at 22 Wakeman Place, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of April 10, 2015.
9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a residential sanitary sewer connection at property located at 54 Long Lots Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of April 10, 2015.
