Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 14, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of December 17, 2014, and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of December 17, 2014.
2.To approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green by the Westport Library for the Library’s Annual Book Sale between July 18, 2015 and July 21, 2015, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, as amended Sept. 15, 2010.
3.Upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director, to accept monetary gifts from residents and organizations to the Town of Westport Human Services Department 2014 Holiday Program, in accordance with the “Policy for Gifts to the Town.”
4.Upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director, to accept a monetary gift from an anonymous Westport resident to the Town of Westport Human Services Department for various programs to assist Westport residents in need, in accordance with the “Policy for Gifts to the Town.”
5.Upon the recommendation of the Village District Steering Committee, to hear a presentation as to the status and approval process for the proposed draft Westport Center Historic District National Register Nomination.
6.Upon the recommendation of the Finance Director, to approve the Insurance Consulting Agreement between the Town of Westport and USI Insurance Services, LLC for professional services in connection with risk control and claims management.
7.As the Water Pollution Control Authority, upon the recommendation of the WPCA Coordinator, to accept ownership of the mainline sewer extension at property known as 5 Blue Coat Lane and further, to authorize incorporation of the facility into the publicly maintained sanitary sewer system.
8.As the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve the application submitted by Redniss and Mead to expand the capacity of the existing sanitary service use to accommodate the proposed mixed-use redevelopment at 1135 Post Road East (a/k/a Geiger’s), contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of December 4, 2014.
