NOTICE OF EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Board of Finance anticipates voting to go into Executive Session on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. in Room 309 of Town Hall to consider pending litigation for the Heart & Hypertension claim of Ernest Ruot. No action will be taken.

DISCUSSION/REVIEW



1. Financial Report from the Finance Director.

2. Status Update from the Internal Auditor.



RECOMMENDATION



3. To recommend the acquisition of 0.3 acres of property located at 199 Newtown Turnpike in accordance with the Federal Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.



APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 2014-2015 BUDGET

4. A request by the First Selectman for an appropriation of $425,000 from the Municipal Real Property Fund, which will be reimbursed through the Federal Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, for the purchase of 0.3 acres of property located at 199 Newtown Turnpike.

5. A request by the Finance Director for an appropriation totaling $ 23,100, from General Fund Balance, for $9,600 to Assessor Salary Account(10101154-511000) and $13,500 to Assessor Fees & Services Account(10101154-531000) for revaluation and court cases.

6. A request by the Public Works Director for an appropriation of $245,000 with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund (MIF) Account (Big Pines Road) to complete the construction and engineering inspection of the proposed water extension.

7. A request by the Public Works Director for an appropriation of $1,612,000 with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund (MIF) Account (Bulkley Ave. N., Buttonwood La., Old Road, Mallard La., Forest Dr., Elizabeth Dr., Shadowlawn Dr.) to complete the construction of an extension of the public sanitary sewer system to service the neighborhoods.



APPROPRIATIONS IN THE 2013-2014 BUDGET

8. A request by the Superintendent of Schools for an appropriation of $125,256.53 to the 2013-2014 Budget, BOE Rentals & Reimbursements Expenditure Account, as follows:



$125,256.53 is deemed appropriated in accordance with Section 10-222a of the Connecticut General Statutes.

9. Approve the Board of Finance Minutes of the October 1, 2014 regular meeting.
