The Westport Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Town Hall, Room201, for the following purposes: 


1. To hear Chairman’s report and update on current HDC activities.  


2. To approve the minutes of the September 9, 2014 public hearing.  


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated October 1, 2014 for the proposed re-installation of two windows to the west side of the structure at 4 Violet Lane located in the Violet Lane Historic District.


4. Upon the request of the owner, to approve the establishment of a study committee to assess the proposed local historic landmark property designation at 35 Long Lots Road, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory.


5. *To approve the establishment of a study committee to assess the historic and architectural significance of the old Nike missile radar site (currently leased to the Westport Astronomical Society) located at 182 Bayberry Lane.


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at One Crestwood Road.


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 18 Dover Road.


8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 104 Easton Road.


9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 10 Rustic Lane.


10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 8 Jennings Court.


11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 1300 Post Road East.


12. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 18 Long Lots Road.


13. *To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application for the detached garage at 164 Compo Road South, c. 1880, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory.


14. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 63 Valley Road.
