Notice is hereby given that the Westport Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September  9, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in Town Hall Room 201 for the following purpose:


For the Proposed Establishment of the Maplewood Avenue Local Historic District which will include:


All those certain tracts or undivided parcels of  land with buildings thereon, located in the Town of Westport, County of Fairfield and State of Connecticut, as shown on Map Depicting Maplewood Avenue Historic District prepared for the Westport Historic District Commission by Town Engineer, Barry Hammons dated May 30, 2014, and currently known as:  


439 Main Street  
One Maplewood Avenue     
3 Maplewood Avenue         
5 Maplewood Avenue        
7 Maplewood Avenue        
10 Maplewood Avenue      
11 Maplewood Avenue      
12 Maplewood Avenue      
14 Maplewood Avenue

The purpose of the public hearing is to review a request to include the above properties within the proposed Maplewood Avenue Local Historic District and to accept the study report reviewed by the State Historic Preservation Council and the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission. 


The notice will be published in the Westport News twice, first on Friday, August 29, 2014 and second on Friday, September 5, 2014.  A copy of the study report and comments from the State Historic Preservation Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission can be viewed at the Town Clerk’s Office or the Historic District Commission Office.
