Public Hearing Notice and Agenda

July 8, 2014

The Westport Historic District Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Town Hall Room 201 for the following purposes:

1. To hear Chairman’s report and update on current HDC activities.  

2. To approve the minutes of the June 10, 2014 special meeting and public hearing.  

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Certificate of Appropriateness Application dated June 25, 2014 for the proposed construction of a garage addition at 7 Washington Avenue located in the Gorham Avenue Historic District. 

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to reconsider waiving the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 8 Bradley Street located in the Compo Owenoke Historic District. 

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 10 Reichert Circle. 

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 166 Cross Highway. 

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 54 North Avenue, c. 1906, identified on the Historic Resources Inventory. 

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 12 Manitou Road. 

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to waive the balance of the delay period for a demolition permit application at 19 Hillspoint Road. 

10. To discuss the definition of a demolition as it applies to historic resources. 

11. To discuss possible nominations for the upcoming 2014 Annual Preservation Awards to be announced in the fall.
