The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):


1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of June 9, 2014 (8:30 a.m.) and the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of June 9, 2014 (7:30 p.m.)
 
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as Traffic Authority, to approve a request by Earthplace to replace one existing and to add three directional signs at the intersections of various Town–owned streets to improve directional guidance to Earthplace facilities located at 10 Woodside Lane.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green by the Japan Society of Fairfield County for the Bon Odori Event on August 9, 2014 (rain date August 10, 2014) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments, including the Westport Weston Health District, and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to adopt the Town of Westport Fair Housing Resolution endorsing the Town of Westport Fair Housing Policy and to affirm the Town of Westport’s Equal Opportunity Policy Statement and Affirmative Action Policy Statement.  


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Letter of Agreement between the Town of Westport and the American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter to provide for the cooperation, collaboration and coordination between the Town and the Red Cross in carrying out their respective responsibilities in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Shelter Agreement between the American National Red Cross and the Town of Westport to provide for the use by the Red Cross of designated Town facilities as emergency shelter(s) in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.


7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Memorandum of Agreement for a Multi-Jurisdictional Planning Team Regarding the Execution of the 2016 Pre-disaster Mitigation Plan (“PDM”) Update to establish commitment from and cooperation among the participating jurisdictions in the development and implementation of the 2016 PDM Update.



8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to approve the award of Contract Bid #14-742R to Young Developers, LLC for the bid amount of $274,700 for the replacement of a portion of the roof at The Saugatuck Congregate Housing at 35 Bridge Street.
