Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 309/307 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of May 28, 2014 and the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s special public hearing of May 30, 2014.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to set a public hearing date to determine final benefit assessments to be levied against properties that benefitted from the installation of a sanitary sewer system and/or road construction on Saugatuck Shores (Contract No. 58).
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a proposed sewer use charge of $5.90 per hundred cubic feet, due and payable July 1, 2014, which shall be applicable to the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a request for a waiver of the Westport Policy on Encroachments on Town Property to the extent it relates to an existing driveway apron located at property known as 57 Center Street, contingent upon compliance with the Town Engineer’s letter of June 5, 2014.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Town Clerk, to approve the 2015 Historic Documents Preservation Grant application and to empower First Selectman James S. Marpe to execute and deliver in the name of and on behalf of the Town of Westport, a contract with the Connecticut State Library for an Historic Documents Preservation Grant.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to accept monetary gifts from the Westport Woman’s Club and the Westport Young Woman’s League to the Town of Westport Human Services Department, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine to accept monetary gifts from the Westport Young Woman’s League, Westport Rotary Club and the Westport Police Benevolent Association to the Town of Westport Human Services 2014 Campership program, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon recommendation of the Human Services Director, to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Operation Fuel, Inc., to allow for the Town of Westport to participate in the 2014-2015 energy assistance program.
9.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Assistant Town Attorney, to approve a five year renewal of the Lease dated May 20, 2005 between the Town of Westport and the Parent Child Center, Inc.
10.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Town of Westport and Baron’s South Senior Housing, LLC providing for the possible development and lease of a portion of the property known as Baron’s South located at 60 Compo Road South.
