The Board of Selectmen and Water Pollution Control Authority meeting schedule is posted to the town's web calendar each February for the following 12 months.  See below for proposed standing meeting dates which are subject to change.  Consult the calendar as the meeting date approaches for agenda and updates.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 309/307 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):


1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of May 14, 2014 and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority public hearing of May 14, 2014. 


2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the acceptance of a gift in the amount of $10,000 from the Betty R. & Ralph Sheffer Foundation to the Town of Westport for the benefit of the Westport Arts Advisory Committee, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, as amended October 28, 1998.


3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green by the Westport Library on Saturday, June 14, 2014 between the hours of 2 pm and 4 pm for “Divergent Day” activities, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-Owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.


4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve a waiver of the Westport Policy on Encroachments on Town Property to the extent it relates to existing structures located at property known as 177 Main Street, contingent upon compliance with the Town Engineer’s comments.


5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve the installation of an electric vehicle charging station within the parking lot behind Town Hall, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant town departments.


6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Traffic Control Authority and upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to approve the construction of four bump-outs on Main Street at the crosswalk of the alley to Parker Harding Plaza, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant town departments.
