LEGAL NOTICE OF DECISION
Notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on April 3, 2014, the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission took the following action:
- DENIED: Amendment #666, Appl. #13-056 by Richard Redniss agent for New Country Toyota for a text amendment to the zoning regulations to modify §24-2.2 (Special Permit Uses [in GBD Zone]) to add §24-2.2.9 “Automobile Dealership, in conformance with §6-6.2” to modify §24-2.4 (Prohibited uses [in GBD Zone]) to add the words “except as provided in §24-2.2.9, herein” to add a new section §6-6.2 for Automobile Dealerships, [on Split Zoned Properties] which would allow the redevelopment and expansion of existing Automobile Dealerships on lots spilt between GBD and Res. A with frontage on an arterial street when 80% of the residentially zoned property is protected as permanent open space with additional restrictions on floor area, height, FAR, parking and landscaping with an exemption from §34-12 (Concealed Parking) and a modification to §34-11.2 (Curb Cuts and Access Drives) to add the words “where upstream and downstream curb cuts are limited to one way operations.”
- APPROVED: 52 Compo Mill Cove, Appl. #13-059 by Peter Romano/Land Tech for property owned by Glenn and Claudia Schattman for a Special Permit and Site Plan for Excavation and Fill for a new single family dwelling in a Res A zone, PID #E04090000.
- APPROVED: 52 Compo Mill Cove, Appl. #13-060 by Peter Romano/Land Tech for property owned by Glenn and Claudia Schattman for a CAM Site Plan approval for a new single family dwelling in a Res A zone, PID #E04090000.
- GRANTED: 39 Coleytown Road, Appl. #14-001 by Barr Associates, LLC for property owned by Elda Capital Corporation for a Special Permit and Site Plan approval, pursuant to Section 32-18 of the zoning regulations, to construct a new single family dwelling and convert existing principal building into an accessory residential building, with renovations, in a Res AAA zone, PID #D16022000.
- ADOPTED: Amendment #671, Appl. #14-004 by DC Kemper-Gunn c/o Karen Johnson for a map amendment to the Town Plan of Conservation and Development for a portion of the property located at 35 Elm Street, to be changed on the future Land Use Plan from Parking to General Business/Business Center, PID #C10143000. Effective date: 4/11/14
- ADOPTED: Amendment #670, Appl. #13-066 by DC Kemper-Gunn LLC c/o Karen Johnson for a map amendment to the Westport Zoning Map to rezone a portion of the property at 35 Elm Street, PID #C10143000 from Residential A to BCD/H (Business Center District/Historic). Effective date: 4/11/14
